Adam Gaffney, MD, MPH

Adam Gaffney, MD MPH is a physician, public health researcher, writer, and healthcare advocate. An Instructor of Medicine at Harvard Medical School, he practices pulmonary and critical care medicine at the Cambridge Health Alliance. His academic work has appeared in the Lancet, the Annals of Internal Medicine, the British Medical Journal, the American Journal of Public Health, and elsewhere. His writing has been published in the Washington Post, the Guardian, the New Republic, USA Today, and elsewhere. He is the author of the book To Heal Humankind: The Right to Health in History, published by Routledge in 2017, and he serves as president of the nonprofit research and advocacy organization Physicians for a National Health Program. He is a frequent commentator on matters of health policy in the media.
